Tree Tech Model BM
The Bushing Monitor - BM performs online monitoring of high
voltage capacitive bushings by measurement of stray currents during
their normal operation. Variations in the insulation Capacitance and
Tangent Delta are detected through connection to the transformer
test tap. This information is then processed to provide indications
of incipient failures. Warning alarms are activated when
measurements exceed the set limits, or according to the variation
rate of high measurements.
All information, both instant values and historical values, are made
locally and remotely available through local displays, analog
outputs, dry contacts, and serial communication ports.
The Bushing Monitor is comprised of the Measurement (MM) and MMI
Modules, the first containing the stray current measurement sensors
and circuits associated thereto. The MMI module receives information
from the Measurement Module(s) via serial communication, performs
the mathematic treatment of measurements and makes the results
available through the displays and the many outputs for the user.
