Alligator Communications Model 2020A

Alligator's 2.4 GHz license-free spread spectrum radio employs the latest wireless data transfer technology to provide the most reliable and secure performance. With over 100 user-selectable hoop tables and access to over 400 frequencies within the same channel, the Model 2020B has overcome the interference problem experienced by other spread spectrum radios.

The radios can be rapidly configured for utilization in Point-to-Point or Point-to-Multipoint applications with the provided utility software. The quick configuration option in the software allows multiple radios to be configured with the same setup information without repeating through the menu selection.

Key features

  • Frequency Hopping

  • Up to 19,200 bps Full Duplex

  • Data Repeaters

  • Over 100 Selectable Hop Tables

  • RS232 Standard Data Interface

Implementation

A network ID number is used to identify all the radios within the network, and up to 239 radios can be deployed within the same network. The radio can also be configured as a repeater via a back-to-back configuration to effectively extend the coverage of the radio network. To assure the integrity and security of the data, Forward Error Correction techniques are inherent in the design of the radio performance. The radio's doze mode or sleep mode help conserve power where power consumption would be a concern. Alligator's spread spectrum radios are technically sophisticated yet easy to set up, and they can be deployed quickly to save time and money.
